Nick has sung in numerous vocal groups, including the UNCG Spartones (winners, International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella quarterfinals with Nick receiving the Award for Best Male Soloist) and Almost Recess (CARA nominated for Best Cover Song (2007),  featured arrangement and lead vocals provided by Nick).

Nick currently performs with transit (CARA nominated for Best Original Song (2007); winner Best Album (2007) and Best Cover Song (2007), "Home" with Nick on lead).

Nick's versatile arranging style has garnered numerous awards and accolades and, as an owner of The Vocal Company, Nick has mixed and produced many a cappella groups. Nick holds a bachelor's in Music Education from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Since 2003, Nick has served on the Board for The Alliance for A Cappella Initiatives (AACI), an a cappella non-profit venture. Nick served as president of the organization in 2005 and 2006, and is still an avid supporter of the organization and its mission. Nick has helped organize, oversee, and fund the SoJam A Cappella Festival.
