 Margaux Bookbinder

Margaux Bookbinder earned her Bachelor Degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Masters Degree in Music Education and Choral Conducting from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

While at the University of Illinois she was director of the female a cappella group, The Rip Chords which were finalists at the International Championships of Collegiate A Cappella for three consecutive years.


Margaux is currently choral director at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VA and a private voice and piano coach in the Washington, D.C. area.  Her ensembles consistently receive superior ratings at choral festivals and regional competitions and her young women’s ensemble has received top honors as the highest ranking ensemble at state level competition.

Margaux is an active soloist and member of the American Choral Directors Association, Music Educators National Conference, and National Association of Teachers of Singing.
