Eva Kiviat's love affair with a cappella began her first week of college and she's never looked back. Eva was the music director and primary arranger for Binghamton University's Kaskeset, a Jewish-themed, mixed a cappella group. She remains an active arranger for the group and all-around a cappella fan! Before entering the a cappella world, Eva spent most of her time studying multiple instruments with renowned instructors from Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music and The Stecher and Horowitz School of the Arts. Her primary instruments are violin, flute and piano. She also plays 'cello, trumpet, ukulele, bass and accordion. Eva remains an active teacher and performer. She received her graduate training from Long Island University, CW Post Campus in Music Education and Speech-Language Pathology.Ms. Kiviat works as an Elementary School Orchestra Teacher, Speech Language Pathologist and as an a cappella arranger. She also teaches math verbal and writing skills through Kaplan Higher Education, helping students master the elements of the GRE, GMAT and SAT. Eva volunteers for the Stecher and Horowitz Foundation, a non-profit committed to furthering the education, recognition and fostering of the next generation of classical musicians. Finally, when the summer months arrive, Eva is a Camp Director at one of New York's premiere Rock Music Programs where she is Rock Band Coach, bass and keyboard instructor and leader of vocal workshops. Eva affectionately and humbly calls the program "THE GREATEST SUMMER MUSIC PROGRAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE." Eva is excited to be a part of the SingStrong team.
