Dave Brown, Esq

Dave Brown is the founder of the highly acclaimed weekly a cappella podcast show Mouth Off, which he co-hosts with Christopher Diaz. He also serves as a nominator and judge for the Contemporary A cappella Record Awards (CARA); and a producer, emcee, and judge for all levels of the International Championship of College A cappella (ICCA).

Dave's past a cappella performing experience includes groups at high school, college, and beyond.  While at Brigham Young University, Dave was a part of of the award-winning nontet Vocal Point, and he co-founded and directed the all-female group Noteworthy, who went on to win the ICCA Championship in 2007 and were recently featured on The Sing-Off on NBC.

Dave has served the a cappella community in a variety of posts, including 2008 CASA president, four years on the CASA Board of Directors, and founder and director of the CASAcademy educational program. He has taught workshops and clinics on group management and performance at the West Coast A Cappella Summit, the East Coast A Cappella Summit, A Cappella Innovations, SoJam, SpringSing, and most recently the Los Angeles A Cappella Festival. He's delighted to be a part of SingStrong this year.
